Films: Venus Flytrap (1970)
Alias: None
Type: Man-Made
Location: Haunted home/Desert
Height/Weight: That of an average human.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: Hey, we're here live at the local science fair! Here we have...okay, Bragan, we're going to be square with you. This thing is an aberration and it hurts my eyes looking at it. Go away.
History: Dr. Bragan was not having the best of times. A former NASA mathematician, the sheer stress of the job caused him to completely burn out. It was in that moment he realized his true calling: botany. Genetic tampering of botony, of course! A trip to Japan gave him the inspiration to crossbreed a Venus flytrap with an eastern carnivorous plant. And now we have this weird creature.
Notable Kills: They feed this horrible thing puppies. Not cool.
Final Fate: The creature eventually breaks out of its confines, and rampages a bit before Bragan confronts it. It ends with them both falling down into an active volcano.
Powers/Abilities: Can emit a sort of sleeping gas.
Weakness: Anything conventional
Scariness Factor: 2-This thing looks less like an intimidating threat and more like a rejected Power Rangers villain. Where are my cheesy villainous one-liners and laser effects, movie?! Know your roots (sorry)!
Trivia: -This film was also known as "Body of the Prey" and "The Revenge of Doctor X". Doctor B doesn't have the same ring to it, we guess.
-If you can believe it, this film was based on an old uncredited script from Ed Wood. Now it all makes sense.
